Slab-edge fall protection — Level 14 deck pour

Task / scope

Daily 7:00 AM toolbox talk in advance of Level 14 deck pour.

Site conditions

Forms set, rebar in place, MEP sleeves installed. Slab edge unprotected outside the form line during pour.

Hazards & controls

Falls from open slab edge during pour

High
  • Mandatory 100% tie-off when within 6 ft of any slab edge.
  • Perimeter cable installed and inspected before start of pour.
  • No leaning over slab edge for any reason — use boom finishing only.

Slip/trip on wet surfaces

Medium
  • Bull-float and screed crews wear cleated boots.
  • Clear paths kept dry where possible.

  • OSHA 10 minimum
  • Fall protection awareness
